An eclectic, unusual, fun audiobook about inventing and making things work!

Vincent Shadow, inspired by Nikola Tesla, has a secret lab in his New York home. In that lab, he works on all of his innovative toy inventions. Until, Vincent’s father marries, and they move to Minnesota. Vincent’s work is stalled…until he learns about a contest for new toys. Vincent is back at work, building an amazing toy that he hopes will win the contest.

This is a short audiobook, just 2 1/2 hours long. The whole story manages to be told in that short timeframe. The narrator’s strong narration carries the novel and keeps the story moving. I really had no difficulty following the story and keeping track of characters. I recommend this audiobook for families to listen to together, definitely.
