Nikki Maxwell has a lot happening in this volume of the long running series. She won a talent competition and now has a hit song. So a REALITY TV SHOW is following her around as she and her band, I’m Really Not Sure Yet, go through voice and dance lessons and get ready to record the song.
But what about Brandon, Nikki’s crush? He’s still around, but is Nikki too busy for him? Or are all the cameras all over the place getting between them?
The way Nikki talks, well, kind of drives me nuts. It’s partially the narrator, but it’s also the way Nikki is just written. But, young teens like Nikki actually do talk and squeal like this, so the author is being realistic. I just cringed each time Nikki screams, “Squeeee!”
This audiobook is about 4 hours long, and is the right length. It’s long enough to tell the story at hand, and leave you hanging, waiting to hear the next installment.
