It’s time to celebrate American Chess Day! Chess is an amazing game to play. I purchased my first personal chess set when I was in Krakow, Poland in 1995 and still have it! The game can go quickly, or it can last a really, really, really long time.
The modern chess game that we play now had its rules created in the late 1400s and 1500s! The first computer version of chess showed up in 1950! Why play chess? It’s great for the brain, and its super fun too. It’s great for kids and adults alike.
How can YOU celebrate American Chess Day? Set up a tournament with your friends. Do your friends not know how to play yet? It’s a great day to learn. 🙂 Do you need to learn to play? Time for you to learn too!
Probably never considered Lego for a chess set, right? Don’t pass up the chance for your own Hogwarts chess set!
