Star Trek Day is celebrated every year on September 8 to appreciate the vision of the future created by Star Trek’s creator, Gene Roddenberry, and to celebrate Roddenberry himself.

https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/star-trek-day/ points out that the show can appear backwards if viewed through today’s lens, but when we consider that a Russian officer was serving on a Federation starship with Americans during the Cold War, this is absolutely visionary.

How can you celebrate Star Trek Day? With a Star Trek marathon, of course!

Read some Star Trek novels (they’re actually pretty good!). Get out your Star Trek accessories and geek out all day long.

Who is Things From Another World? The first store was opened in 1980 in Bend, Oregon. They started out as Pegasus Books, but changed their name in the 1990s. They are the third largest comic book retailer in the United States! They sell more than comics, too. All sorts of amazing pop-culture related items are available. According to https://www.tfaw.com/about-us, they “have the largest and most comprehensive selection of comics and graphic novels from Dark Horse”, as well as comics from DC and Marvel. Independent publishers are available too!!!
