According to https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/teddy-bear-day/, “American toy bears were named Teddy, in honor of President Theodore Roosevelt, who had refused to shoot a small captured bear on a hunting trip.” Teddy Bear Day is celebrated every year on September 9 to remember these favorite children’s (and adult) toys! Teddy bears are often a child’s first toy and almost everyone will own one, no matter what other toys they own. They are wonderful comfort animals. How can you celebrate Teddy Bear Day? Dig out your old teddy and share it on social media! Don’t have the bear in your possession anymore? Share your memories, and encourage your friends to share their memories too! Get a new teddy bear just for yourself! Doesn’t matter if you’re an adult, you can still love these cuddly bears! Are you crafty? Make your own bear from scratch–either a fancy bear or a basic bear. Either way he’ll be loved!
