TV Dinners were invented by Swanson in the 1950s. The 1960s included the addition of a dessert in the trays. While the posts I’m including here are most certainly much more sophisticated than the typical frozen TV dinner, they seem to be in the same spirit! No need for actual cooking by the consumer, but a delicious meal at the end. It’s celebrated every September 10.
