National Coloring Day happens every year on September 14th! There are lots of ways to celebrate–color a picture, have a coloring party with friends or family, or donate art supplies to schools and childcares. Even libraries, shelters, and hospitals might appreciate getting new coloring supplies for their residents! Not just kids like to color and relieve stress.
Why do I enjoy National Coloring Day? Because I enjoy color in general. I like bright colors, and I think its fun to create bright pretty drawings. It’s healthy and good for meditation when concentrating on a drawing. It doesn’t have to be just coloring books either, although don’t scoff at them. Try something freehand. Try a new method. Just try something new.
