I strongly prefer the Bastien method when teaching piano students in general. I like how the lessons flow, and the order that concepts are taught. I’ve had excellent success with all ages of students using their method. This particular method is for kids who are 4 & 5 & 6 years old. I’ve just started using it with students who are at those young ages, who also might not be reading fluently yet. It teaches the concepts in a slightly different way that I like for the younger students.
I’m including links for Amazon and Sheet Music Plus. It’s completely up to you as to where you ultimately purchase the books. The first two books are required. The second books will be used once the first books are completed.
